Half-hitches work too. But you’re often left with a nub at the end. And if you’re head cement isn’t good a half-hitch can become un-done.

ill be ohnest i will never use one. its just that it makes it seem kind of artificial? i know it sounds funny but i look at it this way… its like using a idicator. it takes away from the fine art of fly fishing as well as fly tying. Look at a river runs through it. no indicators, no whip finish tools, just double half hitches.

Mike is a decorated NYC Fireman, injured several times in the line of duty. You can remove your foot from your mouth now.

Boring! Should have at least cleaned his fingernails before filming. Very amateur effort.

since you stole my newflies network tag to get higher in the google ratings, see the video response of my hand whip finishing! Don’t need no stinking tool to whip finish, people have been doing that for hundreds of years!
