I will be fishing rivers for trout with this rod and I wanted to know would it be best to just go purchase a new 5wt line for the 5wt rod or would a 6wt line work just the same or better?

It clicks when I pull out line. And it lets me tighten the spring by turning the knob on the side. But when I pull the lever nothing happens. When I turn the smaller inside knob it releases the spring. Not sure what kind of reel it is, doesn’t say anything on the reel.

So many kinds of pole, rods, system….. How dose anyone knows what is best for their style of FLY FISHING?? Moreover dose it matter other than the fly and presentation?

I thought fishing for wild Californian trout was hard enough!! Trying to learn and understand what is truth verves…… Marketing, PR, and BS is far too hard for me!! Is anything true or really make any differences? What Fly rod and line i.e. balanced system is good for small trout on small rivers?

I think I have found a good line but it is a 6 wt. bass bug line and I am wondering if this would work alright and if there is anything better. Also I am wondering what the heaviest fly a X4 leader could use before it starts to make casting hard. Thanks.
