I’m using floating line (4-wt) and I’m having trouble getting my streamers deep enough so the trout can see them (I think). I tried putting some BB split-shot sinkers on there but they kept sliding up and down my leader or just coming right off. I was told that I can get a loop-to-loop attachable sink-tip line which would probably fix this issue. I will be buying one of those, but this question is for a temporary solution!!

Thanks!

What do you know about fly lines and leaders using the new 3M L2L reconnect system!!

Need to know what is the right choice for all 4 of my rigs?
2, 4, 6 and 8 weight rods?

What line and leaders do I need for all the different presentations??

So many kinds of pole, rods, system….. How dose anyone knows what is best for their style of FLY FISHING?? Moreover dose it matter other than the fly and presentation?

I thought fishing for wild Californian trout was hard enough!! Trying to learn and understand what is truth verves…… Marketing, PR, and BS is far too hard for me!! Is anything true or really make any differences? What Fly rod and line i.e. balanced system is good for small trout on small rivers?

Were can one get info and find retailer near 92679 that has stock the all the L2L Reconnect leaders from 3M??

Okay to continue with question 2.

The other links are:

And my 3rd question.

3. Which leader should I go with. You pick one out from Cabela’s or LL Bean. Thanks!

Try to word your answer like; the line, then the backing, and then the leader. Thanks!!

Yes I do already have the tippet.
And if you need to know the species I’m after then here they are:

Snook (small to medium), Redfish, Speckled Trout, flounder, and other medium sized saltwater fish. Thanks for taking your time to read (sort of long) and answer my question. Thanks and have a great Holiday!
Sorry my weight is 9.

I want to basically fly fish for blues and stripers while walking down the beach…casting lures with my penn spin reel has caused too much problems since the lures are light wieghted.

Also, if you can suggest types of line to use….and if buying a small gaff for retrieving the caught fish would be a good idea or not. ( I’m leaning towards yes on the gaff)
