fishing in the USA? need help!?

I’ve been fishing since i was a lil’ kid. but never been fishing outside of sweden. Im alot into fishing trout, salmon and herring.. Next week im goin to california tho. I will rent a car with a friend from cali that dont have the same intrest in fishing as me. But i still wanna show him how to fish with a flying rod et.c.

So where in cali can i get some good trout in a good area? not planted et.c
please answer soon. My plane’s goin in an hour

I just recently purchased a fly fishing pole (6 weight), and are wondering what I should do. Ive been fishing for Pink salmon in the puyallup river lately with my spinning pole, but I want to use my fly fishing pole as well. Should I try and go fly fishing in the rivers, even though there are no trout since the salmon are running? or should I wait till the salmon runs are over to use my new fly pole. Any fishing advise pertaining to my situation would help. thanks.

Hi, up until now ive been a trout fisherman mostly, fishing small streams with small trout. But this fall i really want to try out salmon fishing in the Lake Ontario tribs. But i really dont know where to start gear wise. I know where to go but dont know what ill need.

I need tips from what kind of rod (not fly fishing) to the line, rigs, lures/baits.. everything basically.

Oh and the spawn runs include King Salmon mostly, but also Brown Trout and late steelhead runs.

Spring/Summer trout fishing help or tricks??

Trout tips or trick help please??

I have been fishing at a lake in Western NY.They stock 4000 brook and brown trout twice a year.But no matter what I toss out there they wont bite the nibble never run.I like to fish from shore with live bait no lures or flies CAN anyone help me out.My wife is getting bored not catching anything

i already know how to do alot but i need you to answer some questions i live in the panhandle of westvirginia what flies nymphs stone flies ect, do i need. i flyfish in the summer what certain bait should i use. i go down to the potomac river and fish its rocky but has alot of bluegill/perch and bass what bait do i need to put on my line to get them suckers in

Ive fly fished for a while. Bass bream crappy trout. things of that nature. Ive never heard of anybody fly fishing for whiting but im curious if you can. I fish sometimes off of tybee island and wanna try to fly fish for some. What fly do you think might be worth a try? Crab and shrimp flies?

Can anyone help me make a fishing pole?

I want to make a fishing pole out of some kind of wood but I don’t know
a) what kind of wood to use
b) where those things on the pole that the line goes through (and what they’re called)
c) what kind of reel to use (for freshwater fish and not a fly-fishing reel)

if anyone knows any of this or any other kink of tips just let me know, as you can probably tell i don’t know too much about fishing but i just really want to make this rod.

i pretty much got the cast down .. but what to i do once the line is in the water? do i just leave it there in the water till the fish bites? or is there methods.? if so do u have to do a different method for different fish.
imma be fishing in saltwater creeks,mountain streams ,and maybe small ponds for bream and bass

what is fly fishing please help if you can ?
