The fly is spinning in the air like a propeler. sometimes the fly will even make a propellering sound. then the tippet gets twisted. then, when the tippet is slack, like when it’s on the water, it wants to spin together. if I grab the tippet and pull it through my fingers, that will usually take the spin out of it and it will behave for a few casts,, but then it usually just starts again.
