How to catch salmon, steel head, trout ect?

Yeah, it’s not the season yet. But their jumping, and everyone going fishing for them here. Here in owesgo, yesterday few guys caught some. A lot of people with waders got them, but they refused to tell us what they used.
I looked up some research, and they are obvouisly trying to protect there eggs. So, i need a rainbow fly? Or something with rainbow colors.
I have dare devils Yellow 5 of diamonds, and Red and White curvy stripes.
What would work good, if you have any links to buy them. Please add them, no ebay. Thank you!

Joshon 08 Jan 2010 at 8:06 pm 1A “Pro Fisherman” should know the answer. Trout, salmon, and stealhead don’t protect their eggs. Once the eggs are laid their part is over. Male salmon do fight one another to gain access to a female and can be highly aggressive towards plugs, spinners, and spoons. They can also become territorial. Space here is limited, so I’d suggest picking up a copy of Salmon, Trout, Stealheader or Salmon Stealhead Journal magazines. One issue of either will give you a lot of knowledge. If you’re on the bank, learn drift fishing.
