    In fly fishing you are casting the line, not the fly. That is the main difference. There are a lot of casting styles. In general, I’d say you should check out the various websites that give loads of info on casting strokes.

    Also… the power on your back cast and forward cast should be the same. There is no added power needed on your forward cast, which is usually a big issue for new fly casters.
