what kind of fly line would you use when fishing from a float tube or pontoon boat in a lake?

We are going to a lake where they have been stocked, i wanted to know if you had to use the traditional method of “fly fishing”, or if i could just use a regular pole and bobber and sit on the shore or a bridge. any helpfull tips or hints are graciousley welcome, thank you
